Join us for a heartwarming and creative journey that celebrates the unique bond between mothers and their children. Inspired by the delightful Spanish book “Madre solo hay una,” in our workshop, we invite children to explore and express how they see their mothers through art and creativity.
What Is This Workshop About?
“My Mama” is a specially designed workshop that encourages children aged 4 and above dive into the imaginative world of motherhood as depicted in the book “Madre Solo Hay Una. ”This workshop pays tribute to mothers’ diverse roles and characteristics, portraying them through various engaging and relatable archetypes—from theadventurous explorer to the tech-savvy guide.
What Will Your Child Experience?
* Creative Exploration: Children will embark on a storytelling adventure, exploring seven distinct types of mothers through beautiful illustrations and captivating descriptions. Each type offers a unique lens through which children can view and appreciate their mothers’ qualities and roles.
* Artistic Expression: Children will learn to use adjectives and similes to describe their mothers, tapping into their natural creativity and imagination. This verbal expression will set the stage for the main event — a hands-on sculpture activity.
* Sculpture Creation: With clay, colours and an array of crafting materials, each child will create a unique sculpture that represents their personal view of their mother. This tangible expression of love and appreciation is a profound creative exercise and a keepsake that mothers will treasure for years to come.
